Sanctus Real lead vocalist Matt Hammitt and his wife, Sarah, took their 10-week old baby boy, Bowen Matthew, home Nov. 18 from the hospital for the first time since he was born Sept. 9. Bowen, whose name means “small victorious one,” was born with a serious heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), and has gone through heart surgery, an infection and other complications since being born. His parents write in their blog at http://bowensheart.com/, “We thank God for the gift of waking up at home this morning with baby Bowen at our bedside. We’ve been praying so long for these moments. Taking care of Bowen at home will take include a lot of work and lack of sleep, but having all five of us together is worth it.” To find out all the latest news on Bowen, plus a wealth of photos and other blogs written by his parents, see http://bowensheart.com/.

PIECES OF A REAL HEART CONTINUES ITS COMMERCIAL ACCLAIM:
Released eight months ago (March 9, 2010), Pieces Of A Real Heart is selling as fast today as when the album first debuted, tracking 119% ahead of the band’s last, GRAMMY-nominated album, We Need Each Other, and on track to become the band’s highest selling album to date.
“LEAD ME” HOLDS ONTO NO. 1 FOR NINE WEEKS:
The success of Sanctus Real’s highly acclaimed Pieces Of A Real Heart is due in part to its radio hits, including the No. 1 song, “Forgiven,” and the band’s eighth No. 1 radio single and first-ever Billboard Adult Contemporary (AC) No. 1, “Lead Me.” The fastest climbing AC radio song ever for the band, “Lead Me” is currently No. 3 on the Billboard Christian AC Monitored chart after holding the No. 1 position for nine full weeks. A video of the song made its debut on iTunes Sept. 7. The song also received the first-ever song endorsements from Focus on the Family and FamilyLife.
